“The reasons angels can fly is that they take themselves so lightly.” So quipped G.K. Chesterton, and I have found it to be true.
Not a single person alive or dead has all the truth, and yet some very serious people claim to have The Truth. Be careful, when someone makes this claim they usually want something from you, probably money. I once heard a famous television preacher say that for $39.95 he would send viewers a piece of the shroud in which Jesus was buried.
Very serious people on serious missions usually do more harm than good. They will stop at no end to convince you are they are right. More evil has been sown in the world by true believers than doubters.
When looking at the vastness of space and the human personality, it is hard not to stand back in wonder. And more, to know how little one knows in the face of the unknowable.
The incredible lightness of Being requires as as manifestations of that Being, to lighten up, sing and dance a little, even laugh at ourselves. This is wisdom.
